Sales of Organic products continue to attract healthy premiums for producers with Beef at around 20p premium, Lamb at around 15p premium, and Cows around 30p premium. In these difficult trading times it must give encouragement to the committed Organic producer that the public still feel that buying Organic produce is worth paying a little extra for.

The one bright spot in the sheep world just now is Organic with all the main processors keen to secure enough supplies. As numbers continue to tighten, the trade can only get stronger in the long term. Beef supply and demand is just about, right now with price holding at 360p/kg with no waiting list.
