Payment Grids

These penalties and bonuses apply to livestock sold to most markets which we supply. The grids used by individual buyersmay vary from time to time in certain respects. Please ask the office for details. Normal MLC deductions and Caledonian Organics commission of 2% to be taken from final payment figure. A further very small deduction of 0.3% is made for indemnity insurance against the processors.

Price grids can fluctuate widely over time and it can be difficult to keep current information accurate. Farmstock are fierce about negotiating prices and so what is quoted here may not actually be the final price they acheive for you. We will be updating these grids with 2010 prices so you can see how much it will cost you if your animals are graded off-spec.

It remains the case that if you do not hit the spec you will be penalised. It damages our reputation and our ability to secure markets for you if you send stock off-spec. It costs you money as you will be down-graded. If you are unsure about your animals please speak to David Marshall who can also advise you on the right time ti hit the market. While we prepare updated information for 2010 take a look at the prices from last year.
